The Splinter Tournament got WOOD! New for 2011, the Matt Splinter Memorial Softball Tournament will be a wood bat tournament. All bats will be provided.

Culver's Day of Giving will be Tuesday, May 31st at Culver's in McFarland. 10% of all sales will benefit the Matt Splinter memorial Fund.

Brandt Park located in McFarland, WI will once again be the host site for the Sixth Annual Matt Splinter Memorial Softball Tournament, hosted by the non profit Matt Splinter Memorial Softball Tournament Committee Organization.  The dates of the tournament are June 3, 4 and 5 2011.

Matt Splinter was a young man who loved the game of softball.  He was well known and participated in leagues in McFarland, Monona, Madison, and Stoughton.  Matt lost his life in 2005, and to honor his legacy we have established this tournament.  The tournament will be open to 18 Men’s teams and 8 Women’s teams.  Play will begin on Friday night for the Men’s teams and women’s teams will commence play on Saturday morning.  Entry fee is $150. per team and it is a double elimination tournament.  All weekend long we will have a silent auction, beer tent, food, raffle and much more. weekend long we will have silent auctions, cold beer, fantastic food, great raffles, 50/50’s, and much more.  Chameleon will be playing on Saturday night from 7-10:30 PM

100% of the proceeds from the tournament go to continued improvements at Brandt Park.
